Well, I’m at a Super 8 hotel (motel?) in Wichita, Kansas. I’m here with my mom, aunt, and uncle. Tomorrow we will complete our journey to my cousin’s house in Omaha, Nebraska, where we will enjoy a lovely Thanksgiving lunch. My wife, Heather, is in Seattle, and will be enjoying Thanksgiving with her mother at Ray’s Boat House, a traditional Thanksgiving spot for them. The high temperature in Omaha for Thanksgiving day is expected to reach a crispy 34 degrees, while back home in San Antonio the temperature should reach into the lower 80’s. I hate long road trips, but due to my impending job change/move, it could be a while before I’m able to attend a real family-type get-together, so it’s in my best interest to make this trip. It’s been rather entertaining, considering the “lively interaction” between my mom and my aunt. Always makes for a good time.
