Three to get funky and ROCK this place! Haha! I forgot to mention in yesterday’s post that my rental car from Hertz has Sirius satellite radio, and channel 43 is BackSpin, Old Skool Rap. How could life possibly get any better? So now I’m thinking of subscribing to Sirius, but I’ll [...]

On the Go!

I’m typing this post (sadly, my first in over a week) from my hotel room in Falls Church, Virginia (just outside of Washington, D.C. for the geographically-challenged). The trip up here so far could not have gone better for me. Instead of making a really long paragraph with lots of run-on sentences, I’ll [...]

Grades are in

I’ve got my final grades for the semester, and the results are an A in Accounting II and a B in Geology. As expected.
This now gives me 78 credit hours completed with a 3.38 GPA. Too bad this will probably be my last semester of school, at least for the forseeable future.

My Strengths - The Series

Episode 4 - Consistentcy
Official Description: - “People strong in the Consistency theme are keenly aware of the need to treat people the same. They try to treat everyone in the world with consistency by setting up clear rules and adhering to them.”
I used to think that by “consistency”, it was meant that I’m dependable, reliable…you [...]

Finals done!

Finally, another semester is over. I feel like a career student. I’m not sure i have any intention of actually graduating, I just like spending taxpayers’ money on my tuition (thanks taxpayers!). In an ironic twist, I’ve finally accumulated all of the prerequisites to *officially* declare myself a business major, and this [...]

Lost

Heather and I borrowed the first season of Lost on DVD and we just watched the first couple of episodes today. I remember when this show first came out, and for some reason, it just didn’t catch my fancy. Maybe I just had too many things going on at the time. Anyway, [...]

Bored and Lazy

Well, I’ve always been lazy to some extent, that’s what makes me so good at finding creative workarounds to problems. But this week I’ve just been kind of “blah.” I’m blaming the cold. Mind you, it’s not that cold, but it’s cold enough to put me into the whole “spirit of the [...]

More Aviation Humor

I’ll end up adding this to my Aviation Humor page, but I figured it’d make a neat blog post for anyone who could use a bit of humor and think that one-liners involving aircraft are funny. Anyway, these are probably all fake, but they are supposed to be a series of “Problems” reported by [...]

I just recently finished reading Robert’s Ridge, “a story of courage and sacrifice on Takur Ghar mountain, Afghanistan.” The book is very fast-paced, and I ended up reading it in just three days. For those that know me, this is a phenomenal reading pace, even if the book is only 352 pages. [...]

Directory Services

I’m a huge fan of directory services, and I’ve spent the better part of the last three years at work conentrating on designing and delivering systems to support directory services. For the most part, I did all of this using OpenLDAP, with a PHP-based front-end to abstract the administration of the directory. Over [...]
