Bored and Lazy
Published by darrell December 9th, 2005 in PersonalWell, I’ve always been lazy to some extent, that’s what makes me so good at finding creative workarounds to problems. But this week I’ve just been kind of “blah.” I’m blaming the cold. Mind you, it’s not that cold, but it’s cold enough to put me into the whole “spirit of the season” kind of mood, where I start thinking about time off, half days at work, and trying to choose between turning on the heat or adding another layer of polar fleece. I always get this way around this time of year. It’s not that I don’t have anything to do, or that I’m not doing it, I guess it’s just sort of a state of mind where everything seems to slow down.
Unfortunately, I have a crapload of work yet to do before the end of this quarter, such as launching the pilot program for our new Secure Identity Management solution at work. So even though things feel like they’ve slowed down, time marches on as it always does, and I’ll just have to adapt, I suppose. But I still feel “blah” about it.
